Homegrown Habitat: Wild, Mild or Styled
Whether your outdoor space is expansive or modest, this program invites you to discover ways to transform your yard into a thriving ecosystem. Participants will explore specific landscape design strategies and learn which plants and management techniques work best for supporting local biodiversity while replacing traditional lawn. The session features an engaging design assessment to help you figure out your personal style—whether your vision leans wild, mild, or more formally styled.
This event suits adults and older teens interested in making their backyards more ecologically valuable. The program runs for ninety minutes at the nature center. If you have questions before attending, the Nature Realm Visitors Center staff are available to help via phone during their regular hours.
