Youth Acting & Performance Program (Ages 8-18)

This summer, young performers ages 8 through 18 can join Western Reserve Playhouse for an exciting theatrical adventure centered around the world of Oz. Rather than a traditional drama class, participants will experience a full theatre production from rehearsal through performance. Students will work with the playhouse's professional artistic team to develop acting, storytelling, and collaboration skills while bringing an original stage adaptation to life—one that draws inspiration from L. Frank Baum's classic Oz books. The program runs throughout August, with rehearsals meeting three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. The experience culminates in two public performances that showcase all the hard work: one on Saturday evening and another on Sunday afternoon. Registration costs $100 and is open through August 1st, so families interested in getting their young performer involved should sign up soon.
