Young Scholars' Academy Beginner

The Young Scholars' Academy Beginner program helps prepare children ages 3–4 for kindergarten success. This parent-child class combines storytime with hands-on learning activities designed to build early literacy and academic skills. Each session is grounded in research-based teaching methods and focuses on foundational skills like listening, talking, singing, and playing together. Parents gain practical takeaways at every meeting, including tips and strategies to continue learning at home, plus access to high-quality books and materials that support your child's development. The program runs for 10 weeks and is held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Branch location. This is an excellent opportunity for families seeking structured, developmentally appropriate preparation before kindergarten begins.
