Young Birders: Swoopin’ Swallows

Young Birders: Swoopin’ Swallows

Young birders learn to spot and identify swallows at Summit Metro Parks.

Your kids will get an up-close look at swallows and martins during their preparation for migration south. The program starts with an educational presentation to help children understand these fascinating birds, then moves into observation time to watch them in action. It's a great way for young nature enthusiasts to learn about bird behavior and seasonal patterns in their natural habitat. This program is designed for children ages 8 and older. An adult must stay with their child for the entire hour-long session. If you have questions before attending, the Nature Realm Visitors Center is happy to help—just give them a call during their regular hours.
