Young Birders: Nuthatches

Kids eight and older will discover what makes nuthatches such active, fascinating birds to watch. During this program, your child will learn about the nuthatch family and observe them up close at the birdfeeders. Weather permitting, participants may even try hand-feeding these acrobatic visitors. An adult needs to stay with your child for the full hour. This is a hands-on nature experience perfect for young birders who are ready to spend time outdoors observing wildlife. The program takes place at the Visitors Center, and if you have questions before attending, you can reach the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065 (open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.).
