Young Birders: Novel Nightjars

This program invites children ages 8 and older to learn about nightjars, a fascinating group of birds. The experience includes an educational presentation followed by a guided bird walk, giving kids a chance to observe these creatures in their natural habitat. Parents should plan to stay with their child for the entire program, as an adult companion is required throughout. If you have questions about the program, you can reach the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065. They're available Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for young nature enthusiasts to deepen their knowledge of local bird species and enjoy time outdoors in the Cascade Valley Metro Park area.
