WinterLand Kickoff

Kick off the holiday season at Public Square with the whole family! This festive event features ice skating, live music performances including Da Land Brass Band and a special guest from WICKED, and plenty of seasonal activities. Kids can enjoy games and giveaways at the Jingle Bell Tent, ride the trackless train, roast s'mores by the fire pits, and meet Santa for photos. Food trucks will be on-site, and hot chocolate pairs perfectly with the evening's entertainment. The highlight is the new Illuminate CLE light show featuring a 50-foot tree with synchronized lights and half a million additional lights throughout the Square—it begins at 5:30 pm and repeats every 30 minutes. The main kickoff programming runs from 3 to 8 pm, though the ice rink opens at noon and activities like the trackless train and light show continue into the evening. Downtown partners will also be spreading cheer with a holiday trolley, story walks, and more. Note that all children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (age 25+) to enter. Discounted parking is available downtown for $8 when reserved in advance, and the RTA offers an all-day transit pass for just $5—great options for families driving or using public transportation.
