Winter Solstice Stroll

Celebrate the year's shortest day with a guided walk along the Maple Loop Trail, a quarter-mile path illuminated by luminaries nestled in the snow. A naturalist will lead your family through the winter landscape while sharing the story of "Mother Deer" and exploring the real facts and folklore behind reindeer and holiday traditions. It's a magical way to experience nature during the darkest evening of the year. After your stroll, everyone heads inside the nature center to warm up by the fire and enjoy hot chocolate together. This program welcomes all ages, from preschoolers to seniors, making it a wonderful multigenerational outing.
