Summit Lake Float

This annual community event invites families to enjoy water activities on Summit Lake. You can choose from guided kayaking and canoeing sessions led by Summit Metro Parks and the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition, or hop aboard pontoon boats for scenic rides across the water. Kayak and canoe spots require registration (opening June 1st) and have limited availability, with sessions starting at 8, 9, and 10 a.m., plus an 11 a.m. open house. Pontoon rides operate on a first-come, first-served basis from noon through 4 p.m. Sweet treats are part of the experience too—root beer floats will be available while supplies last. Before participating in any activity, all participants must complete a waiver. Children under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign their waiver in person and accompany them during their chosen activity. Parking is available at the main park location, with additional overflow parking nearby.
