Summer Insects Take Flight

This event invites families to discover the insects active during summer months with expert guidance. Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist Denny Reiser and another naturalist from Summit Metro Parks will lead a seated presentation on Seneca Deck, then take participants on a walk through the Rock & Herb Garden to spot insects in their natural habitat. It's a great way for kids and parents to learn about the variety of bugs that come alive in the warmer months. The program works well for all ages and combines both indoor learning and outdoor exploration. You'll start with an informational talk before heading outside to search for real insects in the garden setting.
