Storytime with Josh!

Josh, an associate director at the museum and Cleveland-born zoologist, leads this weekly storytime series designed to spark kids' curiosity about the natural world. Each Friday morning, he reads an engaging children's book aloud and connects the story to real museum artifacts, animals, and science topics—transforming a simple reading into a mini exploration. The experience works well for families with younger children who enjoy interactive storytelling and discovering how stories relate to actual science. This program is included with your regular museum admission, so there's no extra cost. Sessions happen every Friday, and you'll want to check with staff at the Welcome Desk to find out which gallery location Josh will be in that week. It's a casual, welcoming way to combine storytime with hands-on learning about animals, ecosystems, and scientific concepts.
