Snowshoe Open House
Try snowshoeing and explore winter hiking gear at Lost Pond Nature Center.
Come explore the winter landscape with us at this snowshoe open house! Whether you're brand new to the activity or already a seasoned walker, this is a welcoming introduction to snowshoeing. You'll learn about the history and fundamentals of the sport, get hands-on time trying out different equipment, and—weather permitting—take a guided walk through the snowy grounds surrounding the nature center. It's a great way to experience winter in a whole new way while staying active and enjoying the outdoors with your family.
This event welcomes adventurers of all ages and experience levels, making it ideal for families looking to try something different during the colder months. The afternoon-long session gives you flexibility to drop in and explore at your own pace. If you have questions before attending, you can reach the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065 during their regular hours (Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.).
