Snakes of Summit Metro Parks
Nature education program about snakes at Summit Metro Parks.
Curious about the serpents in our own backyard? Join a Summit Metro Parks naturalist for an engaging exploration of local snakes and their ecological importance. You'll learn surprising facts—like the fact that no venomous snakes live in Summit County—and discover why these often-misunderstood animals are actually crucial to keeping our parks healthy. If you're lucky, you might even get an up-close look at a real snake during the program.
This program welcomes families of all ages, from preschoolers to seniors, making it a great outing for anyone interested in nature and wildlife. The two-hour session takes place at the Liberty Park Nature Center. If you have questions before attending, the Nature Realm Visitors Center staff are available to help at 330-865-8065 (Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.).
