Sensory Friendly Time

Sensory-friendly museum time at The Children's Museum of Cleveland.

The Children's Museum of Cleveland offers special morning sessions designed for families with children who have sensory processing differences or other special needs. During these quieter, less stimulating hours, your family gets exclusive access to the Museum's eight interactive exhibits. The calm environment allows children to explore and learn through play at their own pace, without the usual crowds and noise levels of regular operating hours. Your child can bring any adaptive equipment that helps them feel comfortable, and the Museum staff has noise-reducing headphones and sensory support kits available at the front desk if needed. Standard admission tickets, memberships, and access program passes are all accepted—no pre-registration required. If you arrive during one of these early sessions, you're welcome to stay after the Museum opens to the general public at 9am, giving you flexibility to extend your visit as desired.
