Pumpkins & Piranhas

Celebrate Halloween at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium with an event specifically designed to be welcoming and comfortable for guests with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing differences, and their families. You'll have full access to explore the galleries at your own pace, discovering Halloween-themed decorations including underwater jack-o'-lanterns and skeletons throughout the space. The aquarium team takes extra care to create a calm environment by limiting attendance, reducing microphone use, softening the lighting, and keeping noise levels low—so everyone can enjoy the evening without feeling overwhelmed. Beyond gallery exploration, families can enjoy face painting and temporary tattoos while kids collect a take-home treat bag at the end of the night. Costumes are encouraged, making it a festive way to celebrate the season. Admission ranges from free to $25, and you can purchase tickets in advance through the event website. This three-hour evening event gives your family a chance to experience the aquarium's exhibits in a thoughtfully adapted setting.
