Piven at the Pivot | a Community Workshop with Hanoch Piven

Hanoch Piven is an Israeli artist and author celebrated for his imaginative mixed-media collage art and children's books. In this community workshop, families can expect hands-on creative instruction where kids learn Piven's distinctive techniques for building characters and scenes from unexpected everyday objects—buttons, bottle caps, pasta, and more. It's an engaging introduction to visual storytelling that encourages resourcefulness and playful thinking. Participants typically leave with their own small artwork and a fresh perspective on how ordinary items can become art.
