Nocturnal Creatures Night Hike
Evening nature walk to spot nocturnal wildlife at Summit Metro Parks.
Ever wonder what creatures come alive in the woods after dark? This guided night hike takes you and your family along the 1.2-mile Oxbow Trail, where a naturalist will help you discover what local wildlife does once the sun sets. It's a chance to experience the forest in a completely different way and learn about the animals that are most active during nighttime hours.
This program welcomes visitors of all ages, from preschoolers to seniors, making it a great family outing. The hike runs for about an hour and a half, so plan accordingly for an evening adventure. If you have questions before heading out, you can reach the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065 (they're open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.).
