Mini Majorettes

Mini Majorettes

Young dancers learn majorette moves and techniques.

Your child will pick up the fundamentals of baton twirling in this eight-week class designed for kids ages 7–12. Students learn proper terminology and technique while working on essential skills like twirls, rolls, and tosses. Beyond mastering these moves, the class builds hand-eye coordination and body control. Participants should bring their own baton and a water bottle to stay hydrated during sessions. The program runs weekly on Wednesday evenings through late October, with one scheduled break. Classes take place on the racquetball court at the recreation center. Membership status affects pricing—center members pay $200 for the full session, while non-members pay $240. Instruction is led by Leighann Hay and Kelly Hoellein, both experienced in teaching young performers.
