Map & Compass: Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt & Hot Cocoa

This event gives families a chance to learn outdoor navigation skills using a map and compass while enjoying a seasonal twist. Children and adults will work together to complete a pumpkin-themed scavenger hunt at Garfield Park Reservation, putting their new navigation skills to practical use. Two time slots—3 p.m. and 5 p.m.—make it easier to fit the activity into your schedule. Afterward, everyone can warm up with hot cocoa, a perfect way to wrap up an autumn afternoon outdoors. This is ideal for families with children old enough to handle a map and compass, and it's a fun way to build confidence in outdoor skills while celebrating fall.
