Leaf It!

Leaf It! Fall cleanup doesn't have to mean raking, bagging, and hauling away leaves. This program explores how leaving leaves in place can actually help your yard and the wider environment — while saving you work. You'll learn the ecological benefits during a presentation, then head out on a guided walk through the forest to see firsthand why that leaf layer matters so much to the ecosystem. This program runs for two hours and welcomes adults and seniors. It's held at the nature center and combines indoor education with outdoor exploration, making it a great option if you're curious about more sustainable yard practices or want to understand how nature works in your own neighborhood.
