Kinderealm: Mimicry and Camo

Young children discover how animals use camouflage and mimicry to survive in nature during this interactive program designed for ages 3 to 6. Through stories, hands-on crafts, and games, kids learn about the clever disguises animals wear throughout the year—not just at Halloween. Each child should attend with an adult companion who will participate alongside them. Registration is required and opens September 1st. Please note that younger children who cannot stay seated in infant carriers or strollers should have alternative care arranged, as the program format isn't suited for them. If you have questions about the program, the Nature Realm Visitors Center staff can help—they're available Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
