Kinderealm: Happy Hibernators

This program invites preschoolers ages 3 to 6, along with a parent or caregiver, to explore the winter sleep cycle of local animals. Through a combination of storytelling, a hands-on craft activity, and a short nature walk, children will learn what hibernation means and which creatures are resting during the snowy months. The hour-long session offers a gentle introduction to nature observation perfect for this age group. Parents should know that registration is required and opens on November 1st. The program works best for children comfortable staying in strollers or infant seats during the walk; if your younger child needs to be held or carried frequently, you may want to make alternative childcare arrangements.
