Jack & The Optimists, Zack Keim, The VUMMS

This all-ages show brings together three indie rock acts for an evening of live music. Jack & The Optimists channels the spirit of 1960s British rock, drawing from the energy of The Who, the soulfulness of The Small Faces, and the melodic craft of The Beatles. The band's sound centers on bright twelve-string guitar work paired with upbeat, optimistic lyrics about youth and positivity. Jack McLaughlin, who studied music at Cleveland State University and recording arts at Tri-C, has been performing live since his teens and is currently working on his third album. Also performing is Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter Zack Keim, whose music blends folk-pop sensibilities with garage-rock influences reminiscent of the Ramones and Beach Boys. The VUMMS round out the lineup. Tickets start at $12.58 and are available through the usual ticket vendors.
