Intro to Stand-Up Paddleboarding
Intro to Stand-Up Paddleboarding at SLNC
Your family can learn paddleboarding fundamentals from a certified instructor on the lake during this two-hour session. A guided tour is included so participants can practice their new skills in a supervised setting. The activity works well for teens and adults—kids must be at least 13 years old, and those under 18 need to bring a parent or guardian who will also be paddling. Everyone must be a comfortable swimmer and wear closed-toe shoes. The park provides all equipment, including life jackets, so you just need to wear clothes suitable for getting wet and bring a water bottle.
Registration opens August 1st and costs $15 per person. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to complete required paperwork before the program begins. Since water conditions can change, the specific location may shift, so check with the Summit Lake Nature Center at 330-865-8065 (Wednesday–Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Sunday 12–5 p.m.) if you have questions. Note that all ticket purchases are final.
