Howling at the Moon

Howling at the Moon

Evening program exploring wolves, moon phases, and night nature.

Join us for a guided hike under January's full moon at Liberty Park Nature Center. You'll explore quiet winter trails while learning about the science of lunar phases and the history behind the "Wolf Moon" name. Along the way, keep your ears open for nocturnal wildlife sounds and take in the moonlit landscape. This is a chance to experience the winter night sky in a whole new way. This program welcomes adults, teens, and seniors who enjoy being outdoors after dark. The two-hour hike combines education with the natural beauty of a full moon evening. If you have questions before attending, you can reach the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065 (they're open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.).
