Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Household Hazardous Waste Collection at Strongsville Service Center, 16099 Foltz Parkway

Need a safe way to get rid of old paint, cleaning supplies, motor oil, or other household chemicals? Strongsville is hosting a hazardous waste collection event where residents can properly dispose of items that shouldn't end up in landfills or regular trash. You can bring oil-based paints, varnish, automotive fluids, pesticides, batteries, and many other potentially harmful household products. The collection runs across two days with extended hours to fit your schedule. This event is perfect for homeowners tackling spring cleaning, garage organization, or preparing for a move. Just gather your unwanted hazardous materials and drop them off during the event hours. Note that latex paint is not accepted—you can dispose of that in your regular trash once it's dried out using kitty litter or another drying agent. Items like explosives, ammunition, medications, and medical waste are also not accepted. This is a straightforward, environmentally responsible way to clear out those hard-to-dispose-of products taking up space in your home.
