Homeschoolers: Copy-Catting Nature
Homeschool program learning nature through creative mimicry.
This homeschool program invites kids ages 7 to 14 to explore fascinating scientific concepts through interactive learning. Using hands-on activities, microscopes, and games, participants will investigate how nature achieves remarkable feats—from defying gravity to traveling at extreme speeds to regenerating brain cells. The program frames these discoveries as lessons from the natural world, encouraging young learners to think like scientists about what we already understand and what mysteries remain.
The two-hour session runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Liberty Park Nature Center. This in-person program is ideal for homeschooling families looking for engaging, educational activities that blend outdoor exploration with hands-on science. For questions or more details, contact the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065 (open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.).
