Harvest Festival
Annual autumn festival at historic Hale Farm & Village with harvest activities & traditions.
Hale Farm & Village welcomes families back for its annual Harvest Festival across two autumn weekends. You'll step into the working rhythms of a 19th-century farm, where seasonal traditions come alive through hands-on demonstrations. Watch cider pressing and fermentation techniques that have shaped communities for generations, enjoy live music, and sample seasonal food from local vendors. The Johnny Appleseed character makes appearances twice each day, sharing stories with visitors.
Families can jump into activities suited to all ages: shell corn, make apple butter, play traditional fall games, and hear storytelling throughout the grounds. There's a pumpkin patch on-site, and pumpkin painting is complimentary when you purchase a pumpkin. Historic cooking demonstrations showcase seasonal specialities like apple butter preparation. It's a chance for children and adults alike to connect with harvest traditions while enjoying the farm's autumn setting and exploring how these practices remain woven into our communities today.
