Growing and Grounded
Art and nature class at Fairmount Center for the Arts in Novelty.
Growing and Grounded offers children a chance to build emotional awareness and resilience through creative activities. Led by a licensed therapist, the program teaches grounding techniques using expressive arts—giving kids practical tools to manage stress and navigate difficult feelings. Participants explore their emotions alongside peers, building connection and understanding through shared creative experiences.
This program is designed for children ages 7 through 11, particularly those dealing with anxiety, attention challenges, hyperactivity, emotional regulation difficulties, or trouble connecting socially. No art background is required—just a willingness to participate. The series runs weekly, giving families multiple opportunities to join. For registration details and pricing, contact Fairmount Center for the Arts directly at 440-338-3171 or visit fairmountcenter.org.
