Gourdy's Pumpkin Run

Join families for a scenic 3.1-mile run or walk through downtown Akron, where autumn colors and historic architecture create a beautiful setting for your outing. The route starts at the ballpark and winds through city streets, giving you and your kids a chance to experience the neighborhood while staying active together. Whether you're a seasoned runner or prefer a leisurely pace, this event welcomes all fitness levels. When you cross the finish line, everyone gets a finisher's medal, and there's fresh apple cider to enjoy as a nice cooldown treat. Your registration covers entry to the event, a commemorative bib, chip timing, a lightweight tech hoodie, and a small pumpkin. If you want an extra challenge, you can add the Tough Pumpkin option, which lets you carry a pumpkin throughout the race and earn an additional special medal at the end. The event supports Girls on the Run, a meaningful charity partner. Families can also access an online community before race day to train together and connect with other participants.
