Getting to Know Grasses

Getting to Know Grasses

Educational nature walk exploring prairie grasses and ecosystems.

Your family is invited to explore why grasses matter more than most people realize. This guided hike travels 1.6 miles along the Prairie Trail, where a naturalist will point out the special characteristics that make grasses such important parts of our landscape. It's a wonderful way to discover something we often walk past without a second thought. This program welcomes all ages and works well for families curious about nature. The hike runs for about an hour and a half, giving everyone time to really look around and ask questions. If you have questions before the event, you can reach the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065 (they're open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.).
