Exploring Evergreens

Evergreen trees are so much more than festive decorations—they're diverse plants with fascinating natural histories and important roles in local ecosystems. This guided hike invites families to explore evergreens alongside a naturalist who'll share insights into what makes these trees special and how they fit into the natural world around us. This program welcomes visitors of all ages and offers a hands-on way to learn about nature during the winter season. The hike takes place at Goodyear Heights Metro Park and runs for about an hour and a half. For questions or to register, contact the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065. They're available Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
