Dominic Moore-Dunson: Black by Nature

Dominic Moore-Dunson: Black by Nature

Live music performance in an outdoor park setting—experimental/contemporary.

Experience a one-of-a-kind dance-theatre performance set along the scenic 1.2-mile Oxbow Trail. This world premiere, created by DANCECleveland, weaves together movement and live music as choreographer Dominic Moore-Dunson explores themes of healing, belonging, and identity in nature. The performance features an original jazz-influenced score performed live by musicians playing guitar, saxophone, trumpet, upright bass, and hand percussion, creating an intimate and reflective atmosphere as you walk through the outdoor setting. This is a wonderful opportunity for families and individuals of all ages to engage with art in a natural setting. The experience invites audiences to reflect on their own connections to the outdoors and community. Registration is required to attend and opens on August 1st. For questions about the event, you can reach the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065 (Wednesday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; Sunday, 12–5 p.m.).
