Cycle & Celebrate: National Ice Cream Day

Family bike ride celebrating National Ice Cream Day with treats at SLNC.

Pedal out for a fun community bike ride that combines outdoor activity with a sweet reward. Starting from Summit Lake Nature Center, you and your family will cycle southward on trails toward Skoops Ice Cream, where you'll enjoy a treat before heading back. This casual-paced ride covers about 12 miles at a comfortable 10–12 mph speed, making it accessible for families with biking experience. The event is organized in partnership with South Street Ministries. Before you go, keep these essentials in mind: bring your own bicycle and helmet (helmets are required), plus money for ice cream. Participants of all ages are welcome, though younger riders should be comfortable on a bike for the distance. If you have questions about the ride, contact the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065 (open Wednesday–Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Sunday 12–5 p.m.).
