Blue Heron Homecoming

Join your community for this annual environmental celebration focused on the Akron Waterways Renewed program. You'll meet representatives from the City of Akron, environmental organizations, and local nonprofits working on waterway restoration projects. With over two dozen exhibits featuring hands-on activities, there's plenty to explore and learn as a family. The festival packs a full day of free attractions: a 10k, 5k, and 1-mile fun run to suit different fitness levels, complimentary trees to take home, rain barrel displays, live music for kids and adults, and a free lunch.
