Birding Basics

**Birding Basics** Curious about why birding has become such a popular hobby? This program introduces families to the basics of spotting and identifying birds in the wild. You'll spend the morning with an experienced naturalist who will share tips on finding birds and help you understand what makes this activity so engaging. Binoculars are available for participants to use during the outing, though they're given out on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is helpful. This is a great way to get started if you're new to birding or want to help your kids develop an interest in nature and wildlife. Whether you're an adult, teen, or younger family member, you'll spend two hours outdoors exploring the natural area. If you have questions before attending, the Nature Realm Visitors Center is happy to help—just give them a call.
