Bird Nerds: Red-Tailed Hawk

Join us to learn more about one of Ohio's most iconic birds—the red-tailed hawk. Whether you've spotted them soaring overhead or perched in a tree, this program offers a chance to understand these familiar raptors on a deeper level. The session begins with an indoor presentation that explores what makes red-tailed hawks such successful hunters and residents of our region. After the presentation wraps up, participants who'd like to continue can head outdoors for a guided birding walk to spot these birds in their natural habitat. This program welcomes bird lovers of all experience levels, from curious newcomers to dedicated enthusiasts. For questions about the program, reach out to the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065 (they're open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.).
