Autumn in the Prairie

Even as fall progresses and summer's bright wildflowers have disappeared, the prairie habitat still has plenty to discover. This guided hike covers the 1.6-mile Prairie Trail with a naturalist who will point out the seasonal changes happening across the grasses and landscape. It's a great way for families to explore nature during the autumn months and learn what's happening in the prairie environment as the year shifts. This program welcomes all ages and takes place in person at the Prairie Trail. If you have questions before attending, you can reach the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065; they're open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
