1899 Building Reopening Weekend at the Akron Art Museum
Explore three new exhibitions in the freshly renovated 1899 Building at Akron Art Museum.
The Akron Art Museum is celebrating the reopening of its 1899 Building with a special weekend featuring six brand-new exhibitions. You'll get to explore the beautifully renovated historic building alongside contemporary artwork across multiple galleries. The 1899 Building itself houses three shows: Shana Moulton's Meta/Physical Therapy, The Surrealist Impulse, and Idea Machine by CHIAOZZA. In the Museum's 2007 addition, you can discover three more exhibitions including works by Naudline Pierre, Alice Pixley Young, and Barbara Kasten.
This is a perfect opportunity to wander through at your own pace and see what captures your family's interest. The museum will be open from noon to 5 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the reopening weekend, so you can stop by whenever works best for your schedule. Whether your kids are art enthusiasts or you're simply looking for a cultural outing, there's plenty to explore across the different gallery spaces.
